Pacific Coast College Health Association

Southern College Health Association
SCHA 2027 is headed to Chattanooga, and our Call for Programs is officially open! Submit your proposal by October 10, 2026, and join us March 17–19, 2027.

Southwest College Health Association
We are now accepting program proposals for the 2027 Southwest College Health Association Regional Partners Conference taking place January 6-8, 2027, in DFW Metroplex, TX.
Program submissions are due September 21st.
We encourage submissions from all professionals within the college health and wellness discipline. This is a valuable opportunity to share your expertise and contribute to our community in the areas of innovative practices, collaborative programming, new horizons in student health, and more.
Coalition Updates
Public Health Surveillance, Preparedness, and Response Coalition
The Public Health Surveillance, Preparedness, and Response Coalition presented on two topics at the ACHA annual meeting: outbreak response and emergency preparedness.
As the new school year draws near, the coalition is excited to host discussions on back-to-school and other timely public health topics. We look forward to meeting more regularly this year and engaging members in the public health work done in college health settings.

Eating Disorders Task Force
The new ACHA Eating Disorders Task Force is looking for mental health professionals (therapists), nursing professionals, and administrators who have an interest in and experience with eating disorder care, prevention, and support within college health settings to join the task force.
Section Updates
Administration Section
The ACHA Administration Section is looking for members to join our Executive Committee as Secretary and Chair-Elect for the 2026–2027 year! We welcome all applicants, and new volunteers are especially encouraged to give it a try! No prior ACHA leadership experience is required. Executive Committee members will be supported throughout their service.

Health and Well-Being Executive Leaders Section
The HWEL Section leadership had a fabulous summer retreat in July. We are in the process of planning next year's webinars. Anyone with suggestions for topics should email Michael.LaFarr@du.edu.
Nursing Section
The Nursing Section is excited to kick off our work for the year with a Needs Assessment that will help guide the development of the 2027 Annual Meeting program. We will also be hosting two Hot Topics sessions in October and November.
