Ridout joined Johns Hopkins University Student Health and Well-being as the lead clinic physician in August 2022 and was promoted to director of Primary Care Services in March 2025. She is a board-certified family physician. Her clinical interests include general primary care, integrative and lifestyle medicine, women’s health, mental health, and staff wellness. She has administrative interests in patient quality and safety. She completed her family medicine residency with an area of concentration in integrative medicine at Penn Medicine/Lancaster
General Hospital after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She also completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2013.

Prior to medical school, she worked in higher education administration at the University of Southern California, where she earned her Master of Education in postsecondary administration and student affairs. Her passion for higher education administration and student services was sparked during her time as an undergraduate at the College of William and Mary, where she studied
neuroscience and sociology.
