Candace Kanney is a health promotion specialist with GatorWell Health Promotion Services at the University of Florida, where she works within the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life to advance well-being across the fraternity and sorority community.
A proud “Double Gator,” Candace earned both of her degrees from the University of Florida and remains committed to giving back to the campus that shaped her. Since beginning her work at UF, she has facilitated hundreds of presentations and large-scale initiatives, reaching thousands of students through prevention-focused programming.
Candace leads signature programs including National Hazing Prevention Week initiatives, where she chairs the university’s task force and supports prevention through the Anti-Hazing Education Committee. She also develops harm-reduction initiatives such as Mocktail Mania, an interactive program engaging students in alcohol-free experiences and safer decision-making.
She advises student leadership initiatives focused on peer support and well-being, including the Florida Greek Wellness Ambassadors, Sister Support Ambassadors, and Thrive IFC. Beyond UF, she facilitates risk reduction programming for national headquarters and serves on the board of the Southeastern Greek Leadership Association.
Known for her positivity, collaborative spirit, and engaging facilitation style, Candace is committed to advancing student well-being and empowering campus communities.
