Emily DeMartino, DNP, APRN, NP-C, works as a family nurse practitioner and primary care provider at Mount Holyoke College in Western Massachusetts. Dr. DeMartino provides full scope primary care, supporting students with acute and chronic health needs, and serves as a resource for colleagues with deep clinical expertise and a zest for problem solving. They serve on the department’s operations team, have implemented myriad quality improvement projects, and are the department’s EHR super user. Dr. DeMartino recently helped launch a new afternoon urgent care clinic designed to expand access to same-day sick visits for students.
Dr. DeMartino collaborates across campus, sharing expertise as a consultant for the peer health educator group and “Be Well” program, serving on the Committee on Life-Affirming Practices for TGNC people, joining panels and presentations for students, and serving on the college’s concussion care team.
With doctoral work in LGBTQIA+ health and an undergraduate background in studio arts, they bring a liberal arts perspective to their work and are especially committed to supporting students as they explore identity, autonomy, and well-being during their time at Mount Holyoke.
