Self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged as well. Please follow the submission guidance below. The deadline to submit a nomination is January 24, 2025.
Please note before submitting a nomination:
- Members may submit a nomination for open positions in their primary section only. To update your primary section, see the “My preferences” tab in your member profile page, select your primary section and click “save”.
- Please submit a nomination for only one position; if you’d like to be considered for other open positions in your primary section, please indicate this on the submission form and section leaders will follow up with you.
Open Positions
ACHA has nine sections that reflect the professional diversity of the individual members of ACHA. These sections play a pivotal role in the program planning of ACHA’s Annual Meeting and in providing support and resources to section members.
Candidates must be current ACHA regular individual members and must be a member of the section they would be representing during the entire term of office.
Listed below are the section officer positions for which nominations are now being accepted. Each position may have up to three candidates.

Administration Section
- 2025-2026 Chair-elect (one-year term, then serves as chair for 2026-2027)
- 2025-2026 Annual Meeting Program Planner-elect (one-year term, then serves as planner for 2026-2027)
- 2025-2026 Secretary (one-year term)
- 2025-2026 Member-at-Large (one-year term)
Advanced Practice Clinicians Section
- 2025-2026 Chair-elect (one-year term, then serves as chair for 2026-2027)
- 2025-2026 Annual Meeting Program Planner-elect (one-year term, then serves as planner for 2027-2028)
- 2025-2026 Member-at-Large (one-year term)
Clinical Medicine Section
- 2025-2026 Chair-elect (one-year term, then serves as chair for 2026-2027)
- 2025-2026 Annual Meeting Program Planner-elect (one-year term, then serves as planner for 2026-2027)
- 2025-2027 Secretary (two-year term)
Health Promotion Section
- 2025-2026 Chair-elect (one-year term, then serves as chair for 2026-2027)

Submitting the Online Nomination Form
Submit your nomination and all supporting materials using this online form by January 24, 2025.
Duties of Section Officers
Section Officers provide leadership to each of ACHA’s nine membership sections by:
- administering and planning section meetings/activities
- coordinating program planning for ACHA annual meetings
- playing a vital role in the relevance of each discipline specific section
