Jaclyn “Jaci” Hawkins is the Director of Direct Services at Alice! Health Promotion, Columbia Health. At Columbia, Jaclyn oversees initiatives for: Health Education, Mental Health & Well-being, Resource Navigation & Wayfinding, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Substance Use & Recovery, and Wellness Coaching.
Jaclyn’s professional background spans several functional areas including college health, social justice education, mental health counseling, residence life, and leadership development. She serves as an instructor for degree-seeking students and as a licensed trainer for national certification programs.
Jaclyn’s professional interests include supporting student health and wellbeing through a trauma-informed and intersectional lens. Throughout Jaclyn’s career, her interdisciplinary approach to health promotion, prevention, and early intervention has been anchored by centering culturally humble and responsive approaches. Jaclyn highlights the invaluable knowledge she gained through working directly with students as a provider. This insight is what drives Jaclyn to strive for innovative, collaborative, and integrative solutions for Direct Services to act as an accessible low-barrier entry point.
