With over 20 million students attending U.S. colleges and universities, higher education has not only a responsibility to provide health care for a diverse group of people, but also the unique opportunity to enhance individual and community health status.

ACHA members include ...

  • over 700 institutional members that represent the diversity of the higher education community — two and four year, public and private, large and small.
  • over 10,000 individual health care professionals — physicians, physician assistants, administrators, nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse directors, mental health professionals, health educators, dietitians and nutritionists, and pharmacists — as well as students dedicated to health promotion on their campus.
  • 33 sustaining members — corporations and nonprofit organizations interested in being more connected with the college health field.

By working together with ACHA to impact the lives of students and campus communities, college health professionals have the ability to strengthen citizenship, the learning environment, and the future health of our society.
