These guidelines outline strategies that colleges and universities can adopt to mitigate the impact of recent legislation on their ability to provide reproductive health services, including abortion.

Recent legislation and legal decisions, including the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, has created confusion and challenges for those working to support the health and well-being of college students.

These guidelines outline strategies that colleges and universities can adopt to mitigate the impact of this legislation on their ability to provide reproductive health services, including education, counseling, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV testing, contraception, emergency contraception, preconception counseling, pregnancy and postpartum care, and abortion. The guidelines also offer considerations for supporting pregnant and parenting students.
