Hannibal E. Howell, Jr. Award for Promoting Diversity in College Health
Dr. Padonda Webb is a dedicated health care professional with over 25 years of experience in the medical field and 20 years as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Dr. Webb earned a BS in nursing from North Carolina A&T, MS in nursing from Winston-Salem State
University, and DNP from the University of South Alabama-Mobile.
Dr. Webb has worked for her alma mater for the past nine years. She served in various clinical and leadership positions within the Dr. Alvin V. Blount Jr. Student Health Center, where she has been executive director and now Assistant Vice Chancellor of Health & Wellness. Her diverse work experience as a health care provider includes emergency medicine, critical care, urgent care and primary care in the Triad, in addition to student health services.
Dr. Webb has earned several prestigious accolades, including the NC A&T State University Award for Excellence in Aggie Pride (Going the Extra Mile), the Student Affairs Outstanding Employee Award, and the Campus Partner Leadership Award. Within ACHA, Dr. Webb helped establish and served as co-chair for the HBCU Coalition and served as co-chair for the Racial Marginalization and Health Inequities Task Force.
