ACHF Student Travel Award

Karen is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Washington majoring in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology with a minor in bioethics and humanities. She works as a peer health educator and peer wellness coach at her university’s health promotion and advocacy office. Karen enjoys the opportunity to work in a student facing role and provide health education from a fellow student’s perspective. She works as an research assistant in Seattle Children’s Pediatric Pain and Sleep Innovations Lab, and is a member of the student advisory board for her university’s student health clinic. Karen plans to pursue a career in medicine and is interested in focusing on internal medicine and behavioral health. She is grateful for the opportunity to attend this year’s ACHA conference and connect with other peer health educators and leaders in college health.
