Erica is an AVP at Sam Houston State University in the Division of Student affairs, and her portfolio includes Student Health, Student Wellness, Campus Recreation, Counseling and Services for Students with Disability. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety. Prior to her current role in higher education, she was a 16-year healthcare professional in the hospital and clinic settings as both an Occupational Therapy clinician and administrator. Erica has been an Executive Board member for the Southwest College Health Association affiliate holding each role from member at large to immediate past president from 2018 to 2025. Erica has also been active in the Administration section. She is in her second year as Region 1 Representative on the ACHA Board of Directors. Her favorite humans call her Gigi.
