Dear ACHA Members;

As a new academic year begins, we’re reminded that college health has always been about more than programs and services; it’s about the communities we build and the connections that sustain them. As you settle into the start of the new academic year, we wanted to say hello and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to not only your campus communities but to ACHA.

As we enter into this new year, we are striving to embed the theme of the 2027 Annual Meeting, “Building Community, Inspiring Connection,” throughout the entire year. ACHA has been a professional home for each of us, and we know many of you share that same connection. With a multitude of disciplines represented from across the field of college health, we are excited to see how our members can connect, build community, and help students on their respective campuses succeed and be well.

Over the summer, we had the privilege of meeting with the chairs of each of ACHA’s 60+ volunteer groups. Those conversations reinforced just how much expertise, passion, and innovation exists across our association. We got to hear about all the incredible work happening with each of our volunteer groups, make connections, and share important information regarding the strategic plan, and we heard from these volunteer leaders the hopes and goals that they have for each of their groups. So many exciting things are going on and we can’t wait to see what happens next!

We also recognize that this work continues during a time of rapid change for higher education, evolving student needs, and increasing complexity across our campuses. Your leadership has never been more important.

In the year ahead, we’ll continue advancing our Strategic Plan by strengthening member connections, supporting volunteer leadership, and creating new opportunities for engagement across our community. With the help of our incredible members and volunteer leaders, we can move ACHA forward and with positivity and hope for our field and for our students.

Thank you for the care, expertise, and leadership you bring to your campuses, your communities, and to ACHA. We are grateful to serve alongside you and look forward to everything we’ll accomplish together in the year ahead.

All the best,
