Do you know a colleague who demonstrates outstanding dedication to college health? The Mid-Atlantic College Health Association (MACHA) is currently accepting nominations for these following awards:
The ACHA Affiliate New Professionals Award: Recognizes an ACHA member who has provided service to the field of college health for FIVE years or less and who has made significant contributions to their institution and/or affiliate. Learn more here
Janet Diggs Award: Recognizes outstanding performance and leadership in service to a college or university campus community.
John A. Hargleroad Award: Honors exceptional service to the MACHA organization.

Nominations are due by Friday, January 9, 2026 (11:59 EST).
We encourage you to consider colleagues you have worked with and use this as an opportunity to recognize the important work they do. Remember that all award recipients must be current affiliate/ACHA members.
Please email membership@acha.org or search the member directory if needed to check one’s membership status.
All nominations should be submitted to the MACHA President Pooja Padgaokar. The nomination packet should include:
- One letter of nomination
- At least one letter of support, written by a colleague
After the nomination deadline, all submissions will be reviewed by the MACHA Awards Committee.
The ACHA Affiliate New Professionals Award will be presented at the ACHA Conference in Denver in May, while the Janet Diggs and John Hargleroad Awards will be presented at the MACHA Virtual Conference in March.
