The 2025 Program Planning Committee, led by Chair Gina Orlando (Columbia University), is already hard at work! In fact, the planning began last winter, as Gina and ACHA President Raphael Florestal-Kevelier (University of Illinois Chicago) started discussing the meeting theme and each section secured a program planner-elect to assist the 2025 planner.

During July and August, the PPC went through a training period that included:

  • Reviewing needs assessment data from the 2024 meeting
  • Learning the program planning process as well as their responsibilities and deadlines
  • Connecting with other planners and discussing possibilities for programming
  • Reviewing the instructional videos created to guide presenters through the program submission process

The planners will begin reviewing program submissions in early October. They rely on assistance from colleagues in their section to assist with this process, which concludes at the end of October. Reviewing submissions does not require a lot of time and it is a great way to get involved with your ACHA colleagues.
