Congratulations to the 2025 ACHA Fellows and Award Recipients!

Each year, ACHA takes great pride in recognizing outstanding individuals who exemplify excellence in the field of college health and well-being.

ACHA Fellows and award recipients represent the very best in college health. These individuals are innovators, mentors, advocates, and thought leaders. By elevating their work, ACHA not only celebrates personal achievement but also shines a light on the vital role that college health and well-being professionals play in supporting students during a critical stage of their development.

At the ACHA 2025 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, we proudly celebrated these accomplishments during the 2025 Awards & Fellows Ceremony on Wednesday, May 28. The ceremony served as a moment of recognition, inspiration, and gratitude, as honorees were cheered on by their colleagues, families, and friends while accepting certificates on stage.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The ACHA Lifetime Achievement Award is one of the association’s most prestigious recognitions. In 2025, this honor was awarded to Sarah Van Orman, MD, MMM, FACHA, University of Southern California.

Dr. Van Orman has spent her career as a college health physician, executive director, and chief health officer. Her leadership extends nationally through her service on the ACHA Board of Directors, including a term as ACHA president. She has been a guiding force behind ACHA’s data initiatives and played a critical role on the ACHA COVID-19 Task Force. Beyond her institutional contributions, she is a passionate mentor and role model for the next generation of college health professionals.
