Seven campuses selected to pilot innovative strategies for STI education and testing

The American College Health Foundation (ACHF), with educational grant funding from Hologic, is excited to announce the recipients of the 2025–2026 STI Prevention and Testing (SPT) Mini Grant Program. This program provides targeted financial support to institutions working to improve access to STI education, prevention, and testing services on campus.

Grant Recipients

After receiving more than 40 highly competitive proposals, ACHF has selected the following institutions to receive mini grants of $2,000–$5,000:

  • California State University, San Marcos
  • College of the Holy Cross
  • Dallas College
  • Louisiana State University
  • North Carolina Central University
  • Point Park University
  • University of Olivet

These awardees represent a broad spectrum of U.S. campuses, including public and private institutions, community colleges, religiously affiliated schools, and both rural and urban settings. Each campus will implement its initiative during the 2025–2026 academic year, contributing to a growing set of promising practices in college health.

We look forward to working with these institutions as they develop innovative, sustainable approaches to STI prevention and testing. Their progress and impact will be shared in late 2026.

About the SPT Mini Grant Program

The STI Prevention and Testing (SPT) Mini Grant Program was created to support institutions—particularly those with limited resources—in addressing gaps in STI-related services. Campuses facing challenges such as limited access to education or testing, high local STI rates, or barriers to scaling innovative ideas were especially encouraged to apply.

Grantees are expected to:

  • Assess student sexual health needs
  • Pilot strategies that remove barriers to care
  • Create sustainable prevention and testing practices
  • Use outcomes to secure long-term support on campus
  • Share data and insights throughout the performance period to strengthen collective knowledge and advance the field
