The American College Health Foundation (ACHF), with funding from Hologic, is pleased to announce a mini-grant opportunity for AY 2025-26 to help campuses address STI challenges. The STI Prevention and Testing (SPT) Mini Grant Program offers small-scale financial support ($2,500 – $5,000) to high-needs institutions seeking resources to develop, implement, and sustain effective STI prevention and testing.
If your campus faces significant resource limitations for STI education and screening, as indicated by any of the following challenges, consider submitting a proposal.
- no or limited STI education on campus
- no or limited STI testing on campus
- lack of access to education or testing in surrounding communities
- moderate to high STI rates on campus or within subpopulations on campus
While high-needs campuses will be given priority consideration, we encourage any institution to apply with innovative ideas that they haven’t been able to implement or bring to scale on their campuses.
Through this grant, institutions are expected to:
- identify current sexual healthcare needs and concerns of college and university students;
- pilot test programs that remove barriers to sexual healthcare;
- establish innovative practices for prevention and testing of STIs that have the potential to be sustainable beyond this grant;
- utilize the programs’ findings to support additional funding on campus for sexual and reproductive healthcare solutions that better meet student needs;
- provide ACHF with the required mid-year and end-of-year report as outlined below. Institutions may opt to remain de-identified in any public reporting.
The deadline for submissions is 9 pm ET/6pm PT on June 15, 2025. For more details, please refer to the RFP.
