The American College Health Association (ACHA) has extensive research and survey data and aims to improve college health care by developing a national college health data warehouse and analytical tool, called the College Health and Well-Being Data Hub (“Data Hub”).

The Data Hub Committee works with ACHA research staff to support the goal of bringing together student healthcare data from multiple sources that can be harnessed by stakeholders to make data-driven decisions, to support student achievement and to improve the health of college students nationwide. This aligns with one of the 4 pillars of the ACHA Strategic Plan.

The Data Hub Committee duties include:

  • Holding regular meetings
  • Providing feedback and direction to the Board of Directors and the National Office
  • Managing the requirements for secure and effective input, access, retrieval, exchange, reporting, management and storage of data
  • Determining user requirements and resources for implementation/participation
  • Providing a comprehensive and realistic phased timeline for data integration and report development
  • Refining and/or expanding the goals of the Data Hub
  • Providing input on the development of business intelligence tools (reports)
  • Developing a strategy for monetization
  • Sharing the plan and seeking input from all possible stakeholders (including non-members, government, affinity organizations, etc.)

The Data Hub Committee members’ participation is critically important to the success of the committee and ACHA. Members of the Committee are appointed by the ACHA Board and the Committee meets monthly.

Please note: ACHA Regular Individual and Student members may be appointed by the ACHA President to Board Advisory Committees and Ad Hoc Committees (usually Task Forces) unless otherwise specified in the ACHA Bylaws. Associate members may not be appointed to these committees.
Committee and task force communities in ACHA Connect are restricted to only those members appointed to the committee or task force.
