The Mid-Atlantic College Health Association (MACHA) is
an affiliate of the American College Health Association.
The mission of the Mid-Atlantic College Health Association is to
serve as a professional organization for individuals who provide
health care and programs to members of the higher education community
and to be a mechanism by which institutions of higher education and
their health services programs improve the health of those they serve.
Purpose and Goals
The purpose and goals of the Mid-Atlantic College Health Association are:
- To extend the benefits of continuing education; collective
information; knowledge; standards; and stimulation and support to
college health professionals in all areas.
- To provide the national and affiliate organizations with
channels of communication to disseminate information to and from the
The Mid-Atlantic College Health Association is a subsidiary
organization of the American College Health Association, a non-profit
educational and scientific organization under section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code. Under most circumstances, contributions to
MACHA are tax-deductible. Receipts are automatically provided for all
contributions over $250. Receipts for contributions less than $250 are
available upon request. Conference fees are not tax-deductible as a
charitable contribution, but may be deductible as business or
