As student health care demands expand to include mental health services and encompass holistic well-being, how do these demands tie in with student health insurance? This panel will explain how student health insurance is a critical aspect of college health. This panel will discuss the recent history of student insurance, policy and administrative challenges, federal legislative and regulatory concerns, expanding access to care, and what the future holds for these plans.

This panel will explain how student health insurance can play a key role in a student’s approach to college health. This panel will discuss how student health insurance can be utilized to enhance a student’s well-being, the role essential benefits play in access to health care, especially mental health coverage, and how regulatory changes threaten those benefits.

For the first time in years, international student enrollment is down at American college campuses. Changing campus climates, reactive policies, and an intensely politicized culture have all upended what it means to pursue a degree as an international student. This panel will discuss how stakeholders can work to ensure the well-being of international students on campuses given the unique challenges of modern campus climates.
