Addressing Student Homelessness


Housing gaps, rising rents, expanding enrollment, and a reliance on off-campus housing have all stressed a system of housing students that once relied on dorms and cheap apartments. This panel will examine the issue of student homelessness, how the issue is defined, its scope, and prevalence over time and geography.

Assessing and Measuring Basic Needs Concepts


Through careful data collection and assessment of students' basic needs, campuses can determine strategies to assist their students. Yet, how does one measure and conceptualize “food insecurity” or “homelessness”? This panel will discuss how institutions can measure and evaluate basic needs data as well as determine what their students’ needs are.
