Rocky Mountain College Health Association
Mini-Grant Application Process

Rocky Mountain College Health Association will award two grants of $500/year to students or staff of Student Health Services in our region. The RMCHA Board of Directors will be the grant committee to review requests for proposals (RFP) and award the grants.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The applicant's institution must be a RMCHA member in good standing, with current membership dues paid in full. The institution must maintain membership in RMCHA for at least the year following the grant.

A written request must be submitted to the RMCHA President no later than February 29, 2008, for grants to be awarded for Spring 2008. The President will then circulate the proposals to other members of the Board. It is the discretion of the Board to consider or reject a proposal based on the financial status of RMCHA at the time of the requests and the merits of the proposal.

PROJECT/PROGRAM APPLICATION
A statement of purpose, detailing the intent of the program, is to be submitted. Goals, objectives, expected outcomes and the target audience must be outlined. The total cost anticipated must be submitted with the request for the amount being sought from RMCHA, not to exceed $500.

Merit of RFP will be determined by the following criteria:

  • Relevance to an important/meaningful college health issue
  • Scope and impact of the project
  • Creativity and innovation of the project
  • Quality of the project process and product

Upon completion of the project/program funded by RMCHA, a presentation is required at the following fall meeting. Reporting may be presented in formal presentation or poster display. A written summary must be made available to the general membership of RMCHA.

Submit RFP via Microsoft Word e-mail attachment to the current RMCHA President, Vicki Mossman, MHP (vicki.mossman@unco.edu).
