Membership in PCCHA

Two types of membership are available:
  1. Individual Membership:
Individual Membership in PCCHA is actually a Dual Membership with ACHA. If you pay individual dues to ACHA, you are automatically an Individual Member in PCCHA. If your institution pays dues to ACHA, you are eligible for a reduced rate as an individual member of ACHA. Additionally, if your institution pays dues to ACHA, one individual from your institution is given an Individual Membership in PCCHA (referred to as an RMI -- Representative of a Member Institution) and one student from your institution (SMI -- Student of a Member Institution) is also given an Individual Membership.

    • Regular Membership: Regular membership is open to anyone on the staff of an institution of higher education or organization eligible for institutional membership. Regular members are eligible to vote and hold executive level office in PCCHA.
    • Student Membership: Student membership is open to individuals who are students at a recognized college or university and not employed as a "professional or civil service employee" at the health service. Student members can vote in the election of PCCHA officers and are eligible to hold office in the PCCHA Students/Consumers section.
    • Associate Membership: Associate membership is open to anyone who is not eligible for regular membership. Associate members may not vote in PCCHA elections or hold executive level office.

  2. Emeritus Membership:
  3. Emeritus Membership is open to any individual member in good standing at time of retirement, provided the member has held such individual status in PCCHA for at least five years immediately preceding retirement. Emeritus members have the privileges of the class of membership to which they belonged prior to becoming emeritus.
