NCCHA Membership

The North Central College Health Association (NCCHA), organized in 1938, was founded to provide an organization in which institutions of higher education and individuals in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin function in the promotion of health education, preventive therapeutic medical care, and environmental health and safety in the campus community.

By being a dues-paying member of American College Health Association (ACHA), institutions and individuals are automatically members of NCCHA. This membership change occurred when the NCCHA voted to participate in United Membership in 2008. Membership in NCCHA gives physicians, nurses, health educators, students, and other health professionals the opportunity to . . .
  • network with colleagues and learn about recent developments in the college health field.
  • attend the NCCHA Annual Meeting with pertinent health programming that awards CEUs, CMEs, CEs, or CHES.
  • have input on a national level through NCCHA to the American College Health Association (ACHA).
  • meet new colleagues and students.
  • increase student involvement in the college health organization through the local Student Health Advisory Committees (SHAC).

For more information about NCCHA membership, please contact Wendy Schuh, Membership Coordinator, at wendy.schuh@mnsu.edu.
