More details will be posted as they become available. Contact: Lauretta Perry, lmperry@d.umn.edu Conference planning is a collaborative effort between the College of St. Scholastica, Lake Superior College, the University of Wisconsin Superior and Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College. The theme for the conference is "Bridging Campus and Community". As providers in college health, our vision is to address the needs of all our students regardless of socio-economics, race, physical ability or sexual orientation. Our aim is to create a culture of inclusivity. Campuses can improve programming and services when working collaboratively with the communities that surround them. Proposals are invited that address the theme in the areas of medical care, mental health, and prevention/health education. While we recognize that it may not be applicable in all cases, our expectation is that the theme is woven into presentations whenever possible and material presented is evidence based. Partnerships with campus and community may include, but are not limited to: non-traditional students, on-line learners, vets, graduate students and our students in recovery. Presentations will be one hour in length with a fifteen minute question/answer session immediately following it. Submissions should include presentation abstract and learning objectives, presenter biography and credentials. A template is available below to assist you in the submission process. The deadline for presentation submission is March 23, 2012. Please send a minimum of 2 references with your proposal to Lauretta Perry at lmperry@d.umn.edu. |
