Grants & Awards
Professional Development Grants
The CCHA Executive Board is offering Professional Development Grants to college health personnel from Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, who are individual members or employees of institutional members, of the American College Heath Association. Students working in college health at these institutions may also apply for a student scholarship to attend CCHA/ACHA Annual Meetings. Awards are granted for a maximum of $300 annually for the funding of attendance at national, regional, or local conferences to enhance professional development, or to purchase health education resources to enhance the college health center services. All funds must be requested PRIOR to attending the event or purchasing resources. Applicants are limited to one application yearly. If a grant is awarded, the applicant will not be eligible to apply again for two years. A limited number of applications will be funded annually. This funding amount is determined by the Executive Committee, based on income from the previous year's CCHA conference. Criteria used in awarding grants include evaluating the request, and its benefit toward job effectiveness and professional development. Applications will be reviewed and considered for funding by the Executive Committee at our Annual Meeting in March. The grant guidelines and application are available to download below. Further information on the application process may be requested from Carol Frevert, CCHA Treasurer at (816) 501-3668, or Carol.Frevert@avila.edu.
