The recent H1N1 virus outbreak is a phenomenon with important implications for international higher education, especially regarding student and faculty mobility. In response to many requests for information, the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration, a collaborative partnership of organizations and institutions, has developed a website to provide up to the minute information relevant to the H1N1 virus outbreak in North America (where the highest number of cases have been reported) and its implications for international higher education. The information in this site is intended to support internationally oriented higher education administrators, study abroad representatives, faculty, and students by helping inform their decisions and actions affecting international academic activities stemming from concerns over the H1N1 strain of influenza.
This website contains news, statistics and travel advisories about the H1N1 outbreak, information about institutional responses, and other useful resources. Please visit www.conahec.org/conahec/portlets/H1N1Virus/index.html for more information.
