CDC Releases H1N1 Guidance's for Institutions of Higher Education
CDC continues to work with local and state health agencies to investigate cases of H1N1 virus and has now released guidance, "H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) Infections Alert for Institutions of Higher Education."

The guidance is available at http://cdc.gov/h1n1flu/college-alert.htm.

Printable Materials on Preventing Flu Available from CDC
As you know, good health habits may also help protect against the flu. CDC has provided resources on steps people can take to protect themselves and others from flu and other respiratory illnesses. Please visit www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/habits/index.htm.

The CDC also has readily available printed resources that are easily downloadable. ACHA highly recommends that institutions, particularly those with limited health service resources, download, print and distribute/post these to enhance the awareness and compliance by students and others in the campus community. They are available in several language formats:

Flyer - Cover Your Cough: www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/covercough.htm

Poster - Germ Stopper: www.cdc.gov/germstopper/materials.htm

For more information on preventing the spread of viruses visit www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/stopgerms.htm.
