Nominations for ACHA Awards and Fellows are currently closed. Nominations for 2013 honorees will open around October 1, 2012.
Nominations Criteria and Process
Outstanding professional achievements in college health and dedicated service to ACHA — these are the qualifications that exemplify an ACHA Fellow.

NOTE: A fellows candidate must be an ACHA individual member for at least five years.
How to Nominate a Candidate for ACHA Fellowship:
- Submit a letter of recommendation for each candidate along with a minimum of two letters or e-mails of support, and the candidate's CV.
- At least one recommendation should be from an ACHA Fellow.
- At least one recommendation should be from an ACHA member at an institution other than the one at which the nominee is employed. (The Fellows Committee looks for letters of support from throughout ACHA sections.)
- Include a detailed explanation as to why the candidate should be inducted as an ACHA Fellow.
- Provide evidence of the candidate's achievement in both of the following categories (candidates need not satisfy all criteria):
- Professional Achievements in College Health
- Original contributions to the advancement of knowledge in the field
- Distinguished educational, professional, or administrative ability
- Publication in professional journals other than the Journal of American College Health
- Service to employing institution(s)
- Academic (teaching) responsibilities
- Research activities
- Recognition by other related organizations
- Service to ACHA
- Annual meeting participation (e.g., presentations, panels, program planning)
- Service to the association (e.g., officer of the association, section, or an affiliate)
- Publication in the Journal of American College Health
- Attendance at ACHA and/or affiliate annual meetings
- Significant, sustained commitment/leadership in the field of college health, embodying the mission and vision of ACHA while advancing the health of the campus community
- Other outstanding service to ACHA
- Professional Achievements in College Health
The Fellows Advisory Committee will review the nominations packages and make its selections. The Fellows Advisory Committee typically selects four to six individuals annually for induction as an ACHA Fellow.
New ACHA Fellows will be honored at the Awards and Fellows Celebration Dinner during ACHA's 2012 Annual Meeting in Chicago.
