ACHA Awards
Nominations for ACHA Awards and Fellows are currently closed. Nominations for 2013 honorees will open around October 1, 2012.
Nominations Criteria and Process
(excluding the Best Practices in College Health Award, the Affiliate New Professionals Award, and ACHA Fellows — see "In this Section" for information)
Let us know who should be recognized for making exceptional contributions to ACHA, the field of college health, or their own health center and campus by nominating someone for an ACHA award.

Nominations packages must include:
- A letter (or e-mail) of nomination
- Additional letters of support (a minimum of two and maximum of five letters required)
- At least one letter of support must be from a current ACHA member
Letters of nomination and support must:
- Specify the award for which the candidate is being nominated
- Include as much background information about the candidate as possible including their involvement with their affiliate and ACHA, any previous awards received.
- Explain in detail why the candidate deserves the award. Please give detailed examples of the activities, programs, etc. in which the nominee has been involved and provide specific information that supports the candidate’s nomination for the award.
Eligibility of Awards Candidates
- At the time of selection by the Awards Advisory Committee, candidates must be ACHA individual members in good standing. (nominees for the Barbato and Reifler Awards do not have to be current ACHA Members; nominees for the Outstanding Research Publication Award do not have to be members but must be located at an ACHA Member Institution.)
- Current ACHA board members are not eligible to receive ACHA awards.
The Awards Advisory Committee shall consider all complete nominations and review against established award purpose and criteria.
The committee may recommend none, one, or multiple recipients for each designated award to the ACHA Board of Directors.
